Whether you want music, laughs, beer or just to get outside, there's something in the Colorado Springs area for you. Here's a list of events to help you plan your weekend:

  • Science Riot Comedy Encore: The popular comedy night featuring funny scientists, Space Foundation's Area 51, 4425 Arrowswest Drive. $15. Rocky Mountain BBQ food truck. Doors at 6:30 p.m. Friday. spacefoundation.org

  • The Colorado Mud Run:  Down the mud slide, 25 obstacles, run through mud pits. Get dirty for fun and a good cause this Saturday. SPRINGS SPREE

  • Pikes Peak Supercross: One of the most popular Norris-Penrose Event Center evenings, and it's a loud one. 1045 Lower Gold Camp Road. Some of the best riders will be there, including the pros. 6:30-10 p.m. Saturday. $20- $45. pikespeaksupercross.com
  • Springs Spree 2018: Opens at 9 a.m. Sunday in America the Beautiful Park with a Super Hero run/walk. Music, food trucks and vendors in the park 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., free parking. springsspree.org
Soap Box Derby

  • Pikes Peak Soap Box Derby: Watch kids race their cars down Costilla Street hill at 8 a.m. Sunday. A double elimination race between El Paso Street and Wahsatch Avenue.
