Bob Dylan returning to Colorado for October concert

Music icon Bob Dylan will make a tour stop Oct. 21 at 1stBank Center in Broomfield.

Soul legend Mavis Staples will open the show.

Tickets cost $54.50-$129.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Call 866-461-6556 or go online to altitudetickets.com.

The musician's career spans more than 50 years and has relied heavily on songs stacked with political, social, philosophical and literary themes. He's sold more than 100 million records and earned 11 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a special citation by the Pulitzer Prize jury in 2008 for his huge impact on popular music and American culture.

Hit singles include "Blowin' in the Wind," "The Times They Are A-Changin'," "Like a Rolling Stone," "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" and "Shelter From the Storm."

Dylan performed last year in Colorado at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
