The body of a missing 17-year-old Park County girl has been found inside her family's burned home.

Maggie Long's family's home at 3700 County Road 43 caught fire Dec. 1, the same day Long's family notified the Sheriff's Office about their concerns for her whereabouts after she did not go to a concert at Platte Canyon High School, where she was a senior, Denver7 reported.

The Sheriff's Office has said it believes the fire was set intentionally. Long's death is being investigated as a homicide by a task force of federal, state and local law enforcement officials.

"This Task Force will not rest until justice is obtained for Maggie and the Long family," a statement from the Sheriff's Office said.

The Sheriff's Office is asking any community members who observed any suspicious vehicles, individuals, or activities along County Road 43 in Bailey on December 1, 2017 or any other pertinent information to contact the investigative tip line at 303-239-4243.
