Cirque du Soleil is bypassing the big top with its new show and taking its acrobatic shenanigans to the ice.

The entertainment company's first ice show, "Crystal," will come to The Broadmoor World Arena Jan. 31 through Feb. 4.

Tickets are available for Cirque Club members beginning Monday on the website cirquedusoleil.com/crystal. The general public can purchase tickets beginning Sept. 22. Go online to broadmoorworldarena.com for more details.

According to the Cirque du Soleil website, "Crystal" features a young woman who "shatters through reality to reach the surreal world of possibility. Beyond the surface, she pursues the life that has been glistening beneath. Sometimes, we must first leave solid ground to find our true footing."

The show features world-class ice skaters and acrobats performing a combination of acrobatic feats, skating, sliding and other mind-warping feats of physicality.
