Police arrested a man wanted on suspicion of kidnapping, menacing, assault and possession of illegal drugs following an alleged domestic dispute Tuesday morning.

Officers went to the 6300 block of Casual Drive about 5:15 a.m. in response to a call about domestic violence assault. The suspect, 24-year-old Zakkary Haze, had several warrants out for his arrest, police said.

Police surrounded the home. They soon found Haze in the basement and tried to persuade him to exit the home.

Polce say Haze ignored officers' requests and fled the basement through a window, leading police on a chase. Haze climbed over several fences into adjacent backyards, officers said. Police again set a perimeter and contained Haze, finding him in a back yard and arresting him after another short chase.

He is being held in El Paso County jail.
