A video posted on Facebook Sunday showed three people vandalizing an elaborate Christmas display in Centennial.

The post has been viewed over 65,000 times. It has also been shared over 600 times.

One of those who viewed it was the father of one of the perpetrators. He immediately boarded on a plane to Colorado, according to  KUSA.

Monday evening, those involved and "their equally embarrassed and ashamed parents" showed up at Joe Stricker's home to accept responsibility.

"They took complete responsibility for their actions and accepted whatever consequences we felt was just," Stricker wrote on Facebook. "They agreed that the right thing to do was to turn themselves in and take full responsibility for their actions."

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office cited three people, all in their 20s.
