Just hours before Elton John's sold-out performance at Colorado Springs' Broadmoor World Arena Thursday he postponed a show scheduled for Saturday in Bakersfield, Calif.

The Bakersfield Californian reported that John postponed his tour stop slated for Bakersfield's Rabobank Arena until April 22. That show was also sold out. The arena's management cited undisclosed medical reasons, according to the Californian.

Tickets will be honored on the new date in Bakersfield or fans may request a refund.

John, who turns 70 on March 25, gave a two-and-a-half hour energetic performance Thursday night in Colorado Springs. He entertained fans with hits including "Your Song," "Philadelphia Freedom," "Rocket Man" and "Crocodile Rock," and came back for an encore.

His Wonderful Crazy Night tour is slated to stop in Tucson, Ariz, Albuquerque, N.M., and El Paso, Texas, next week before heading to Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
