A wild ride

When you see the name Dennis Lehane attached to anything, you know you're in for a dark and serpentine ride through the human psyche. He's the man behind "Mystic River" and "Shutter Island." Netflix recently acquired the 2007 film "Gone Baby Gone," based on Lehane's 1998 novel. Casey Affleck, below, and Michelle Monaghan, under the direction of Affleck's big brother, Ben Affleck, star as private detectives trying to find a girl who's been kidnapped. Plot twists and moral dilemmas ensue, the biggest of which left me wondering what I'd do in a similar situation.
