Short play fest

Ten-minute plays are dramatic sprints; writers pack a full evening of theater into a short timespan while producers confront the monumental task of figuring out how to stage multiple plays in one location. Funky Little Theater Co. mounts nine bite-sized plays about LGBT issues in "[spectrum: lgbt short play festival]" Now in its second year, local and national playwrights reflect on queer life in both dark and comedic ways. 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday Through Saturday. Tickets $11-$15. funkylittletheater.org ~Caleigh Derreberry

'Good Week'

FirstBank is providing "acts of goodness" such as free lunch, Kona Ice, and chair massages at its 817 Village Center Drive branch every day this week. "Good Week" is meant to inspire others to give back, and it's open to the public. ~Stephanie Earls
