Thursday's traffic: Icy conditions cause 'multiple spin-outs' on I-25

A crash involving a deer on U.S.  24 and Constitution is slowing traffic. Unknown blockages.

UPDATE 8:05 p.m.

The Colorado Department of Transportation reported "multiple spin-outs" on Interstate 25 between Denver and Colorado Springs "due to icy conditions."

"Use slower speeds in this area," CDOT said in an alert.

Colorado Springs has a 30 percent chance of scattered snow showers Thursday night, mainly before 9 p.m., the National Weather Service in Pueblo said. The night's low is expected to be 23 degrees.

UPDATE 1:51 p.m.

The northbound lanes on Murray Boulevard, between Constitution Avenue and Maizeland Road, will be closed for water main repairs Thursday afternoon through Friday morning. Other lane restrictions or closures may be necessary during repairs. Colorado Springs Utilities is advising drivers to plan alternate routes as significant traffic delays are expected in the area.

Right lane of northbound Interstate 25 at Wolfensberger Road in Castle Rock closed due to a crash.
