Want to watch the sunrise from the top of Pikes Peak?

Set your alarm for 3 a.m. or thereabouts Sunday for a rare early admission day. And don't forget your camera.

The gate to the summit will open at 4:15 a.m. (weather permitting) to allow travel time before sunrise - it takes 2-3 hours round-trip.

Admission is $15 for adults 16 and older; $5 for children ages 6-15.

The Pikes Peak Highway entrance is located 15 minutes west of Colorado Springs on Highway 24. Info: parks.coloradosprings.gov/ppam.
